Rocky was sent to a sanitarium in Maine at 4 yrs. old (1920) with Polio & TB for 9 years (1929), he had 2 cysts on his shoulders which discharged fluid (per sister Jerrie) He was hunchbacked for the rest of his life.
My research shows that spinal tuberculosis has all of these symptoms.

He never married. His passion was painting & enjoying people; he visited our house often when we were growing up & always made us laugh; I was given two of his paintings which I display proudly in my home; the Board of Education in Bristol was given one of his paintings by him when he retired from the school system in the 1990's; they have it hanging in the Board of Ed. office in Bristol, CT.
