Found a copy of a memorial to Vital S. Pelletier with his picture on it in my grandmother's album (Modeste Levesque Lozier) showing he was the beloved husband & good friend of Euphemie Daigle, died in Daigle, ME on Oct. 12, 1925 at 66 yrs. & 6 mo. old.
Received copy of the Record of a Death from Maine Vital Records 9/27/07; shows Vetal S. Pelletier died on Monday, Oct. 12, 1925 (looks like 1924) in New Canada (Daigle is known as New Canada), Twp 17. R5; he was married when he died but no wife was listed; no birthdate was listed, age at death was shown as 67 yrs. but he was actually 66 yrs. & 6 mo.; his father's name looks like Severance Pelletier & no mother's name was recorded; died of general disability?; informant was William Pelletier (which was also the physician reporting the death (M. J. Pelletier was the undertaker in Fort Kent); Vital was buried in the Holy Family Cemetery in Daigle, New Canada, ME. on Wed., Oct. 14, 1925 ( old section lot 2225)

They also had 2 young girls living with them, Hennie Otta, 15, who was in school, listed as Adopted, born Apr. 1885; & Dianna Bell, 6 yrs. old. b. Jun. 1893, also listed as Adopted. Dianne Bell is actually Dena Bell, Tuffield Bell's daughter from his 1st marriage; Tuffield married Sophie's daughter Mary in 1897 in Fort Fairfield. Don't know why his 6 yr. old daughter is living with Mary's mother & brothers? Tuffield & Mary were living in Fort Fairfield on the 1900 US Census, no children. Don't know who Hennie Otta is but found a MDI for a Jennie B. Otto, age 77, who died in Parsonsfield, ME on 9 Nov 1960; sending for a copy of the dc.

Found a marriage record on Data CD from Chad Pelletier for Paul Lozier & Laura Gorneau for 11 Jan 1930 from St. Louis' church, Fort Kent, ME; he was bapt. 1878 St. Louis; she was bapt. 27 Aug 1885 Frenchville.
Note: Laura was Malvina's (Paul's 1st wife) sister-in-law married to her brother Clifford Berube; then married Paul Lozier when Malvina died so she was both step-mother & aunt to Paul's children.

We called Richard 'Bijou' & I called him Uncle Bijou all my life and didn't know he was really my cousin until after he died in 1995.
He was at my house for a Lozier Reunion approx. mid-July 1995 & was so sick he couldn't get out of the car so we all went & visited with him in the car while he rested. We miss him.
