this is the region of Italy that all my Italian ancestors came from: my great-grandparents, Giovanni Mascola & Camille Florio came from Agerola in the Sorrento Peninsula/Amalfi Coast region of Campania and my grandfather Pasquale Messina, came from Acerra in the Vesuvio region just NorthEast of Naples.

this is where my great-grandparents, Robert Roy dit Lauzier and Melvina McGough were born, married & had their first 3 children. It is also where many of my great-grandparents were born & married. It is a beautiful town on the southern shore of the St. Lawrence River in Quebec.

with I95 overlay for planning purposes. I95 destroyed many of the houses & streets & neighborhoods that my Italian ancestors lived in when they came to this country. When I was growing up in 1954-55, I remember I95 cut right through our street & we were forced to walk around the block to cross over the highway to go to school. That's when kids walked to school!

this is the end of U.S. RT1 right at the bridge which goes from Fort Kent, ME to Claire, New Brunswick, Canada; as the sign says, U.S. RT1 begins in Key West, FL & runs for over 2,000 miles.
