2001 Jul 21 obituary for Irene Lozier King from the New Haven Register, CT Notes - Irene married Peter Perfetto in 1934; married Theophile Landry in 1948; is listed in her mother's obituary in 1954 as Mrs. Irene Landry from PA; is listed on my wedding invitations as Mrs. Irene Broomall living with her sister Juliette in Rocky Hill, CT in 1965; married Archie King in FL & lived with him until he died.
When Archie died in 1983, she asked her brother Jesse (my Dad) to come live with her in Florida since he had just left my mother & was living in Ohio with my sister & Irene needed help since her eyes were getting really bad & she couldn't drive; my Dad moved down there & they lived together for about 10 yrs.
My Dad moved back to CT to live with me in the early 1990's and then moved into an apartment at a complex in New Haven called Bella Vista; Irene moved back to CT around 1995 & got an apartment in the same complex as her brother Jesse. She got very involved with the church & became a eucharistic minister for the St. Francis Church at Bella Vista.
Irene Lozier was born with a hole in her palette & never talked normally, she always sounded like she had something in the back of her throat or was really hoarse. She couldn't have children (per sister Jerrie).
