-
Name |
Pasquale Mascola |
Born |
4 Jun 1879 |
Pianillo St., Agerola, Campania, Naples, Italy |
- Received Pasquale's birth record from Agerola via a visit to the town hall by Susan Tedders (a cousin from the AngelaRosa branch of the family); translated by an Italian teacher at Aux3Pommes in New Haven, Evelina; the mayor was Alfonso Lauritano & witnesses were Gennaro Brancati & Andrea Amatuda. The father, Giovanni, age 30, living at Pianillo St, Agerola, presented the baby to the mayor for registry of birth the same day he was born, (Translator said month born was July, but I think it should be June; document looks more like guigno than luglio; based on this, I will continue to use June 4, 1879 as his birth date) ; his mother was Camilla Florio, daughter of fu Gennaro, 29 yrs. old; shows that Giovanni signed the birth record.

Received a copy of naturalizaton papers from NARA in Waltham, MA for Pasquale Mascolo from the Court of Common Pleas, New Haven, CT for Oct. 24, 1900, he was 22, born in Italy; no other information is available.
I thought Pasquale got his citizenship from his father's naturalization but I may have been wrong.
Note: This is the same date that his brother, Angelo & a Giovanni Florio got their citizenship; I'm still working on who Giovanni was, his mother's brother?
